KARACHI – At-least two target killers were killed in police operation in Lyari’s Chakewara area today (Wednesday).
According to SSP city the killed gang war suspects Bilawal and Momid were involved in dozens of target killing activities including extortion and hand grenade attacks.
Police also recovered weapons from the possession of the suspects.
On the other hand, police also apprehended an accused named Zakir from New Town. Police officials state that the suspect used to show himself as a counterfeit CTD officer and rob the citizens through intimidation. A case has also been registered against him.
Meanwhile, Rangers while conducting a targeted operation in Block-N of North Nazimabad detained three individuals who belonged to a political party.
Besides this, 15 suspects were also arrested during search operation in Gazri area.
Karachi operation, launched in late 2013 to tackle soaring crime rates, is on the run as the Rangers continue to pursue a major crackdown on offenses in the volatile port city of 20 million people.
